Description: Need for an experienced and growth minded mission engineer/program manager. This engineer will be responsible for the technical program management of a non-traditional ASIC. This role includes, planning, budgeting, technical task management, contract negotiations/ management and supplier interactions/management. Prior experience with both the GlobalFoundries now Marvell Avera Semi FX14 ASICs design and release, is helpful. Prior business and technical experience with 3rd party IP and design service suppliers is required. The selected candidate needs to have experience collaboratively managing across teams. As such, the ability to be a hands-on person is critical, capable of understanding technical issues, while working effectively with others, while having the willingness and ability to learn new skills, find creative solutions for getting work done. A strong understanding of the ASIC design process, supplier offerings and technology limitations is required to allow for early product sizings in the absence of fully developed designs or fully defined parameters.
Requirements: Job Duty 1 - Assist in the definition of the scope, schedule and cost of the ASIC design. Leveraging prior experience, support the development team as they make tradeoffs, optimize the design and sourcing of the design. Job Duty 2 - Using a working knowledge of the ASIC Dflow and experience with the ASIC suppliers offerings, help the development team to work with the right experts to solve technical issues. Job Duty 3 - Run regular extended team meetings which may include suppliers Job Duty 3 - Interact with customers (when needed) through technical exchange meetings (TEMs), formal reviews at key program milestones, system demonstrations and briefings, while providing written documentation for the work performed.
