Salary: $ 60000.00 - $ 80000.00
Description: Reviews existing products and recommend design improvements to achieve: a standardized design, reduced manufacturing lead times and cost, cohesive aesthetics, as well as to meet the customer / market requirements. Generate and maintain product development documentation (engineering change requests, engineering filing system, user manuals, test specifications, etc.). Work with the Engineering and Manufacturing team to have product prototypes created and perform product testing for internal evaluation as well as for customer and consumer testing/feedback. Working with outside Testing labs i.e. UL, ETL etc. for proper third party testing is completed and certifications are achieved. Support in the creation of solid works 3D and 2D drawings for product offerings. Sales/ Rep Support- Quoting, Spec Review and submittals in the sales engineering process. Periodic interaction required with other engineers and as well as contractors and customers. Ability to have a clear understanding of the department’s processes of building products (standard and customized) Participate in team meetings in creating and maintaining project timelines and action items through implementation. Tech Support over the phone- Pre and Post Sale Support in the development of sales tools and training materials for presentation to the Sales team, educating on the latest developments in products and product training. Job site Trips (Corrective) Provide technical support for solving product quality problems as needed.
Requirements: Proficiency in AutoCAD/Solid Works is required. Minimum of 2 years professional experience in mechanical engineering Knowledge of mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic controls, machining operations, welding, and brazing Solid analytical skills are required:, heat transfer, fluid flow, control theory Ability to resolve performance, durability, and safety issues Superior interpersonal communications, presentation and teaching skills Must work precisely, accurately, and with close attention to all details Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Work requires use of conventional drafting techniques and software with a working knowledge of thermal design software (in HVAC, Plumbing and Manufacturing a plus) Ability to work with customers, sales, and engineers on designs and fabrication of HVAC, plumbing and heat exchanger Equipment L.
