Description: Need for an experienced physical implementation engineer. This engineer will assist in the development, implementation and testing of a digital neuromorphic accelerator chip. The selected candidate will work directly with other designers and system architects to implement ASIC physical design under the supervision of the team lead. Job Duties: • Physical design, including power grids, clock network implementation, floorplanning, place and route • Synthesis and placement-driven synthesis • Timing closure and signoff • Power optimization and signoff • Extensive Scripting / Flow Automation • Power/Performance/Area estimations • DFT implementation • DFM signoff • In-depth understanding of memory structures • Simulation and debugging
Requirements:  Basic Skills, clearances and other elements required, in order of importance, and number of years experience, where applicable, in each skill: 1) Familiarity with industry standard ASIC EDA tools (with strong emphasis on Cadence tools, including innovus, genus, tempus, joules, and modus), including place and route, synthesis, timing closure, power integrity, simulators, and DFT. 2) Chip implementation experience. 3) Extensive participation in multiple successful large-scale tapeouts. 4) Expertise in pressure, temperature, failure analysis, reliability in terms of operating range, yield, and MTBF. 5) Experience with Automotive Grade 2, ISO26260, AEC-Q100 standards will be helpful because design requirements are similar in nature. 6) Compliance with Export Regulations. Other Skills Desired, Years in each skill, where applicable: At least 4 year experience in multiple of the following categories: Place and route, Timing closure, Power optimization, DFT.
