Mechanical Project Engineer/ Project Manager

Description: ● Coordinate outage preparation working groups with scope of Job Purpose, as assigned ● Partner with Project Manager, Construction Manager and Outage Manager in conducting outage planning meetings with PPPL stakeholders including follow-up ● Serve as focal point for streamlining key work control processes (e.g. procedure changes) ● Assist project team in implementing advance work-around and acceleration strategies ● Oversee/coordinate Work Planning activities including the development, review and approval of work plans needed to execute the work ● Serve as focal point for assuring appropriate stakeholder engagement in FWP review and approval ● Provide and assist project team in conducting effective, well-organized plan-of-the-day and shift turn-over meetings ● Provide/support timely FWP changes ● Monitor progress against the plan through direct observation of the work, and collaborate with Project Manager and Construction Manager on needed adjusts to the plan ● Assist project team in closeout of completed work packages
Requirements: ● Associates degree from an accredited college or equivalent based on 2:1 years (experience: college) ● 15 years + experience in construction, operations or maintenance at commercial nuclear power plants, research laboratories in the Department of Energy complex or other similar, complex work environment ● 5 years + managing outages at commercial nuclear power plants (preferred) ● Experience working with multi-trade workforce such as electricians, riggers, and heavy machine operators L.
