Description: 1. Fabricate, install, calibrate, trouble shoot plasma diagnostics associated with on-going experimental collaboration on DIII-D. 2. Operate machines to fabricate mechanical and electrical interfaces needed for the above efforts, e.g. wiring, circuit boards, support brackets, vacuum manifolds, RF components, microwave systems, etc as directed. 3. Support a team of PPPL physicists in their needs for diagnostic maintenance, upgrades, and assemblies. 4. Install the NB Local Control System wiring, including field connections, console control PLCs, National Instruments, and custom made module equipment. 5. Design, fabricate, and install supports as needed for various system assemblies as needed, eg. Lithium Granular Injector, and other DIII-D diagnostics. 6. Operate forklift, cranes, and other equipment moving devices as required
Requirements: High School Diploma Experience in electronic circuit fabrication, and simple trouble shooting using Ohm’s law. 1-3 years experience in the use of floor machines, mills, lathes, CNC, etc. L.
