Associate Project Manager II

Description: Under managerial direction, the selected candidate will provide field support with an emphasis on structural/civil and electrical work performed by a third-party contractor during construction and design, including the following:Work with Construction Manager/Resident Engineer in meeting the project goals, attending project coordination meetings with stakeholders preparing meeting minutes and following up on action items.Assist in the inspection of capital construction projects; monitoring and coordinating several types of project activities, working independently under general supervision.Ensure work complies with contract documentsComplete all required paperwork for contractProvide inspection and quality control/quality assurance for furnishing and installing of all material and equipment.Monitor safety ensuring all personnel comply with safety requirements of the contractPrepare regularly and in a timely manner Daily Reports, Quality and Safety Check Lists and Reports, Field Condition Survey Reports, Field Sketches, scopes of work for change orders, estimates, additional work order packages and any other report required by the Construction Manager/Resident Engineer.Prepare, submit and coordinate necessary requests for Services, such as Flagging, Access & Protection, etc
Requirements: One year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating or expediting, on engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects, or supervising a construction project with a value of $1,000,000 or more. Candidates must have at least one additional year of experience as described in above in a supervisory capacity or have served for at least one year as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, architectural technology, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or a four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described above (Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil or Electrical Engineering preferred.) Significant experience as a Field Inspector and/or Field Engineer in inspection on civil/structural or electrical construction projects is highly preferred.Ability to read and interpret Contract drawings & specifications.
