Associate Project Manager II

Description: Communicate with all levels of stakeholders and users concerning various aspects of project.Become highly knowledgeable about the facets of the project; be able to communicate that knowledge clearly.Sit in as the DM role as needed when called upon by the Design Manager or senior management.Review and comment on engineering drawings, specifications and contracts.Schedule, conduct and coordinate field visits, surveys, inspections and other TA support services.Draft reports, minutes, memos, and other written project-related correspondence.Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: One year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating or expediting, on engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects, or supervising a construction project with a value of $1,000,000 or more, and either: a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, architectural technology, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration, and two years of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects; or a four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described above. Experience with specialization in electrical engineering highly preferred. EIT or PE License preferred. 30 hour OSHA certification. Bachelors of Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.Experience in managing projects that are multi-disciplinary to include electrical, communications, software and environmental engineering is desirable.Experience in managing project schedules and budget is desirable.Knowledge of reading drawings and understanding engineering concepts.Experience/skills in technical writing, organization and presentations.Knowledge of telecommunications projects and applicable codes and standards preferred.Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word, Access and Excel. CADD experience is desirable but not required.Ability to communicate effectively with excellent written and verbal skills.Organize project information, prepare reports and presentations and interact/communicate with contractors and other MTA C&D or operating agency departments.Knowledge and/or experience with construction scheduling and estimating.The ability to coordinate with a multitude of users such as operations and engineering personnel.
