Description: Provide senior level design structural engineering support service for adjacent project reviews and approvals. High level of technical skills required to review numerous types of engineering solutions submitted for adjacency reviews. Solve design-based issues/conflicts and elevate to senior management when required. Coordinate design reviews for Developer Improvement and Public Agency projects as they relate to adjacency issues. Delegate incoming submissions. Review, check, and provide approval of outgoing submissions. Ability to manage technical staff. Refine EPPs technical standards and checklist for adjacency reviews. Additional tasks as required by the PCEO.
Requirements: A Master's degree in Structural Engineering 10 to 15 years of station design experience in mass transit industry, preferably on NYCT stations, tunnels P.E. License is required Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and other Computer Applications.Familiarity with Asite.Knowledge of MTA C&D capital program policies related to design/construction management and program administration.Knowledge of MTA C&D's operations and facilities is preferred.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills is a must.Design-Build project experience strongly preferred.Familiarity with complex systems projects in the transportation or government sectors is preferred.A detailed knowledge of codes, standards, as well as regulatory agency requirements.Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.Comprehensive knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices, and the ability to apply this knowledge to complex and diverse projects that are adjacent to MTA property.
