Associate Project Manager

Description: The selected candidate will work closely with the MTA Construction & Development/ Construction Management Office and Consultant Construction Manager (CCM) assigned to the project, performing the duties described below:Monitor construction field work being performed by the Contractor ensuring compliance with contract drawings and specifications, approved shop drawings, approved qualify procedures, and approved safety procedures.Prepare all necessary field reports daily documenting all activities that take place on site. Utilize web-based document management protocols to maintain all project submittals and correspondence.Coordinate the review of submittals and correspondence with the appropriate stakeholders including but not limited to designers, sponsor groups, and operating departments.Prepare payments and track AWOs. Required to perform some physical activity including site inspections, climbing and descending ladders and stairs, working on elevated platforms and scaffold, standing for an extended period, working outdoors in all weather conditions, working in the Subway Tunnels and Station Environments, etc.Oversee/coordinate a construction project, preparing reports, monitoring onsite quality and safety, obtaining and coordinating NYCT Support (flaggers, work trains, Access &Protection, etc.).
Requirements: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, architectural technology, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects OR A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described above 3-5+ years of project management experience for Level II4-6+ years of project management experience for Level III OSHA-30 Strong written and oral communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), project management software and Drafting Software (MicroStation)Knowledge of NYCT standards, procedures, rules, and regulations preferable.
