Description: Perform electrical designs of capital projects. Provide computer assisted drafting.Prepare Project Requirement and Design Criteria (PRDC) and Scope of Work (SOW) of design-build capital projects.Participate in field surveys to collect data to use in design.Provide electrical design support to the Construction Manager's office during construction.Prepare and/or review contract documents such as design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.Attend design and construction review meetings to represent the design team.Perform other assignments as directed by the Principal Engineer.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering AND 1-2 years of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting for engineering projects OR four-year high school diploma/educational equivalent and 5 years of experience as described above OSHA-30 Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and other NFPA Codes and Standards.Experience in design of various types of power distribution systems.Experience in preparing project scope of work, developing contract drawings and specifications with minimum supervision.Excellent Skills with AutoCAD or Microstation drafting programs.The ability to coordinate with a multitude of stakeholders, such as: contractors, operations, other agencies, departments and their engineering personnel.Ability to organize project information efficiently and prepare reports.Ability to write and speak clearly in English.
