Description: L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as an Associate Project Manager II Environmental.- Performs Project Monitoring on asbestos abatement, lead disturbance, and silica generating projects to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable Federal, State and agency regulations/procedures. - Oversees lead and asbestos abatement contractors and air monitoring to ensure work is performed properly. - May also include oversite of contractors performing operations that may generate airborne silica. - Prepares asbestos abatement and lead placard documents and maintain record. - The candidate may be directed to perform asbestos surveys.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in an engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration or public administration AND two years' experience OR Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent AND six years' experience New York State Dept of Labor (NYSDOL) Asbestos SupervisorPreferred/Optional Licensing/Certifications: NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor, NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector, NYSDOL Asbestos Designer, SSPC C3/C5 Supervisor/Competent Person for De-leading of Industrial Structures 30-Hour OSHA Certification and 8-hour Lead Awareness Course are required prior to work on or near the right of way.
