Description: L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for indidivuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Software QA Tester.*Understand the business requirements, functional requirements and non-functional requirements and establish the testing strategy, testing plan and other testing and validation deliverables. *Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. *In partnership with BAs, set-up and facilitate meetings with the business office to understand business processes (As-Is and To-Be), testing needs and report on testing progress. *Working with all stakeholders, perform To-Be Business Process Analysis of the new Grants Management system. *Routinely sending out testing meeting minutes, decisions, and action items to team members. *Using quality analysis and validation techniques, translate and document clear and detailed testing requirements including test scripts, testing plan, defects/bugs tracker, validation of process flows, data flowcharts, mockups, wireframes, etc. *Review these testing artifacts with respective members for feedback and secure timely approvals. *Validate the data mapping of the fields between the legacy and the proposed new system. *Perform manual and automation testing as needed for testing the new system including the core features, customizations, adaptations, and interfaces. *Create automated test scripts for the smoke, integration, and regression test suites utilizing different testing tools such as Selenium, Salesforce, Jira/Confluence etc. for the mission- critical and frequently used functionalities in the GF system. *Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for manual as well as automated testing to address business use cases. *Document, report, track, assign, and escalate defects appropriately; perform thorough regression testing when defects are resolved. *Generate and analyze Test Automation Reports utilizing appropriate testing frameworks. *Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Pilot Testing. *Analyze business processes, functions and procedures across multiple functions and bring cohesiveness in all testing initiatives for optimal business and technical solutions. *Operate in a hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) environment and actively manage testing requirements, change requests and user accessibility testing needs. *Contribute to design and architecture discussions, daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions and other meetings. *As an expert Tester/QA, meet project goals and objectives including CSSQ adherence, hierarchy-based communication, date commitments and functionality. *Assist project manager in project management tasks and reporting testing progress periodically. *Become a subject matter expert (SME) and validation expert for the proposed system and involved business processes/rules. *Engage other BAs/QAs in testing efforts by developing timely test plans, writing and executing test cases, done/acceptance criteria, end-user testing and deliverables validation. *Validate/verify various tests with the approved requirements throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) including all changes during the project(s). *Coordinate among business & technical teams and vendors including IV&V, to identify and resolve testing issues that arise during the course of the project(s). *Create/update testing issues, logging bugs, user stories for testing all the business, functional and non-functional requirements (F/NFR), including workflows, business rules, use cases, wireframes, activity & sequence diagrams. *Using different types of testing artifacts, validate and describe in comprehensive written documentation whether the system / process / service satisfies the determined business needs. *Act as testing lead among business teams, PM, BAs and software development teams, management, PMO, end-users and vendors including IV&V. *Participate in daily scrums, and other agile ceremonies to achieve the planned milestones. *Ensure testing artifacts including but not limited to epics, stories, done criteria, test strategies, release plans are defined well and set-up needed processes. *Work with tools such Jira/Confluence, Selenium, MS tools, MS SQL Server DB, Salesforce, Visio, SharePoint, Smartsheets, and other web-based testing applications.
Requirements: *7 years of experience in developing test plans, writing test scenarios/cases/scripts, executing them and periodically reporting the testing results. *7 years of experience in utilizing various quality analysis techniques in Waterfall, Agile or any other adaptive SDLC methodology to derive and document testing scripts from business requirements. This includes creating and maintaining testing documentation throughout the SDLC (e.g., test case development, fit-gap analysis, validation of available process flows, mockups, sequence diagrams, wireframes, etc.), tracking and reporting of testing risks, testing inconsistencies and issues during all testing phases including integration testing, pilot testing and UAT. *7 years of experience establishing criteria for validation of deliverable / "Done' criteria, key testing decisions tracking, tracing requirements completion with testing artifacts, obtaining commitment and testing related approvals from the project participants. *7 years of experience in all types of testing (including functional, non-functional, regressions, smoke, integration, UAT, etc.) of applications, business process validations reporting needs and data sanity checks. This includes writing and executing various types of test cases, testing procedures & cycles, manual and automated testing using Selenium and/or similar tools, defects tracking, bugs resolution, periodic testing results communication and requirements-based validation/testing for final deliverables sign-off. *5 years of experience in using SQL and PL/SQL and testing data management activities - data comparisons between legacy and new systems, data validation, cleansing, data migration testing, data integration and transformation testing. Writing SQL Server queries to test data sanctity, extracting data from legacy systems, merging functions, MS Excel data manipulations, etc. *7 years of experience in cloud systems such as Salesforce, Dynamics, Outsystems, & Java-based applications. *7 years of experience in developing testing metrics, using issue/bug tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, HP QC, MS TFS, Zephyr, SharePoint, etc.), implementing standard operating procedures for testing management and reporting, testing documents versioning, controlling changes, and upkeep of all testing artifacts in a dynamic environment. *7 years of experience in Selenium webdriver API, Jira/Confluence and similar testing applications including but not limited to HP QC, MS TFS, Zephyr, SharePoint, etc. L.
