Description: L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Business Analyst. This position will provide reporting data analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and testing capability for the Information Management Unit in support of Child Support Data Mart project. *Act as a data sleuth to analyze data to understand and provide a data-driven narrative to what is happening *Liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate the requirements for changes to current business processes, policies and information systems and for the development of new business processes, policies and information systems *Create business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use cases, test plans, swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the BI requirements and deliverables for reports, dashboards, and ad hoc tools *Work closely with Data Mart and Business Intelligence technical team members and various Agency Business Owners to create Business Requirement documentation to assist in developing logical and physical dimensional data model reporting requirements and providing assistance in understanding the data requirements for proposed reporting *Collaborate with data modelers, ETL developers, programmers and the business owners to translate reporting requirements, provide clarification of business rules, prioritize development, obtain signoff and ensure successful delivery of accurate end user reporting requirements *Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate initial business requirements and report output through the DEV, QA and PROD migrations testing for accuracy and sign off on deliverables *Assist in providing training & technical support, as needed, for Agency staff
Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in business intelligence, information science, computer science, mathematics, or business administration with an analytics or communications background
• 7 years experience with all phases of business operations report specifications development including creating business requirements documentation, report mock ups, flow charts, and acceptance testing for business intelligence tools to design report, data analysis, or dashboards for operational reporting business solution
• 6 years experience in SQL, PL/SQL quality assurance testing of reports, and development of user acceptance documents for reports
• 5 years experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and advanced reports supporting data driven decision making
• 5 years experience as lead BA, soliciting Cognos report requirements utilizing JAD sessions, client interviews, focus groups or subject matter experts
• 3 years experience in Cognos Business Intelligence dashboards and reporting tools
• 1.5 years experience developing of end user training materials for use of Cognos Business Intelligence or application reports
• 2 years experience developing project management documentation including charter, scope documents and project plans
