Description: *Provide support for the installation, commissioning, and servicing of the following: a) Mechanical Equipment b) Electrical equipment and service c) Instruments and control equipment d) Facilities and Sitework *Organize and supervise the in-house mechanical and facility construction labor pool for the construction and maintenance activities. *Work with outside contractors for all other support services. *Organize and run the Preventive Maintenance Program using a computerized management program *Organize and implement the Calibration Program for all instruments on site using outside calibration contractors and also possible administering a computerized calibration program *At times will be required to perform the work in addition to being the foreman. *Provide Operational assistance to trouble shoot production issues.
Requirements: *Rotating Equipment: Must have an excellent knowledge of installing, commissioning, and servicing rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, valves). Knowledge and certification for the repair of mechanical seals would be beneficial. *Utilities: Must have experience working with and maintaining generators, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, hot oil heaters, air compressors, dryers, nitrogen system, natural gas distribution, Fire Protection system including the Foam System. a) Must be able to obtain a Refrigeration Engineer’s license if presently not in possession of one as required by NYC regulations to provide general supervision for the Chiller. b) Black Seal Boiler License would be helpful, although not required for operations. *Piping: Excellent understanding of piping installation for all size piping and different alloys used within a petrochemical complex. *Motorized Equipment: Must be able to troubleshoot and coordinate with outside service contractors as required to support yard equipment such as but not limited to the following: fork trucks, high-reach, yard crane, boom trucks, service lifts, etc. *Electric: Must have a good working knowledge of industrial electric, motor controls and power distribution of 480 VAC and lower. *Instrument Calibration: Must be familiar working with calibration instruments and the assorted calibration procedures *Computer Proficiency: Must have some level of computer proficiency with Excel, Work, and be able to operate the preventive maintenance program and calibration program. *Must be a legal resident. *Must possess a valid Driver’s License *Must have a credit card. *Must be able to pass a background check. *Must be able to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) as part of Homeland Security. *Must be able to speak and understand English with good proficiency. *Must have a solid mechanical aptitude. *Must have excellent communication skills. *Must be able to work well with others in adverse situations. *Must possess a “Can-Do” attitude.
