Description: L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Business Analyst. *Analysis and design of reporting, website, and user interface; transforms legislative and user requirements into system and data requirements and analysis artifacts including use cases; prepares technical and user documentation including business use cases. Examples of Business Analyst activities and responsibilities that will be required in this project include, but not limited to:*Lead requirements gathering efforts and conduct Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, focus groups and personal interviews to capture business and technical requirements, including the transformation of user and legislative requirements into system requirements: *Document the complex areas of the project using integrated analysis and modeling techniques *Work with staff to develop, review, and gain approval of business, data, technical, and quality requirements *Act as a liaison with project stakeholders as needed *Develop use cases *Develop and/or modify functional and/or design specifications, technical writing and documentation *Assist in the design of web pages and user interfaces *Assist the Project Manager in managing product scope through requirement change requests and traceability *Assist in the determination of risks, issues, and other planning items as required by the project
Requirements: 
  • 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst working on software enhancements or new development project(s) gathering and prioritizing business requirements with users and documenting business requirements
  • 7 years of experience with analysis and documentation of complex business rules, workflow processes, and re-engineering business processes
  • 7 years of experience leading meetings and facilitating requirements sessions with business/program subject matter experts including functional requirements, non-functional requirements, and security requirements
  • 7 years of business analysis experience with all phases of application development including requirements analysis, design and development, data conversion scenarios, testing, and maintenance of large complex systems and reports
  • 6 years of experience with creating and developing documentation: business requirements, business and system process flows, swim lane diagrams, use cases, user interface mock ups, user documentation, and technical specifications
  • 3 years of experience with Visio, Balsamiq, and/or other tools for creating and maintaining process flows and wireframes
