Description: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOperation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properlyReading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment .Quality Control -- Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.Instructing -- Teaching others how to do something.Monitoring -- Monitoring/Assessing performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. *Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment *Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service. *Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. *Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of production machines and plant equipment *Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. *Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. *Perform regular preventive maintenance on production machines and plant equipment *Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. *Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. *Remove daily trash to outdoor dumpsters for collection. *Cut down boxes and cartons for trash. *Keep walkways and parking lot free of ice and snow. *Assist shipper/receiver in warehousing. *Organize, maintain, and store equipment, supplies, etc., for machine shop *Organize, maintain, and store items for recycling and batch shredding. *Organize, maintain, and store various items appropriately in outbuildings. *Organize, maintain, and store various materials for all departments. *Place requisitions with Purchasing for supplies and materials needed for projects and repairs. *Work in all other departments as necessary to meet production or quality goals. 1O. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to thesupervisor.*Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. *Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, carrying, pushing carts and materials handling equipment for various containers. Working conditions are normal for a light manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires occasional use of safety equipment including but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, gloves, etc. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. ABILITIES REQUIREDEducation -- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.Color Discrimination -- The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range and within a few feet of the observer.Manual Dexterity -- required for operating equipment and performing assembly and repair processes.
