Description: Need for an experienced and growth minded technical project manager. This engineer will be responsible for the technical program management of the hardware assembly and infrastructure support. This role includes, planning, budgeting, technical task management, contract negotiations/ management and supplier interactions/management. The selected candidate will be required to work both independently and collaboratively in conjunction with other teams across IBM. As such, the ability to be a hands-on person is critical, capable of understanding technical issues, while working effectively with others, while having the willingness and ability to learn new skills. Similarly, a strong understanding of the hardware assembly process, supplier offerings and technology selection is required. Task Description: Job Duty 1 - Assist in the definition of the scope, schedule and cost of materials required for Hardware assembly and infrastructure for up to 2 to 3 different sites. Job Duty 2 - Work closely with technical team to determine when materials/parts are needed for assembly and key deliverables to the Client. Job Duty 3 - Run regular extended team meetings which may include suppliers Job Duty 3 - Interact with customers (when needed) through technical exchange meetings (TEMs), formal reviews at key program milestones, system demonstrations and briefings, while providing written documentation for the work performed. Job Duty 4- Manage the logistics of parts and equipment moving from Yorktown, Bromont, POK and other 3rd Party vendors. Job Duty 5 - Work with IMS Schedule and EVMS lead to identity risks and variance in the schedule and tracking of materials to map to DID requirements. Job Duty 6 - Other duties as required by the project leadership team to facilitate cross functional communication.
