Associate Project Manager III (Civil)

Description: Under direct supervision, assist Project Management in the oversight of capital projects. Assists Engineers and Architects in the collection and treatment of data. Prepares reports that monitors the progress of capital projects. Reviews contract drawings and specification prepares daily report, RFI and submittals logs. Assists Project Manager with various paperwork requires in the field. Coordinates with Contractors and Depot Management on various projects. Also assist in coordinating formal responses from the design team. The candidate will also perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
Requirements: One year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, on engineering projects, or supervising a construction project with a value of $1,000,000 or more, and either: a baccalaureate degree from an accredited in college engineering, architecture, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting for engineering projects; or a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described above. In addition to meeting the qualification requirements for Assignment Level I, candidates must have at least two additional years of experience as described above in a supervisory capacity or have served for at least two additional years as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project. Construction management experience is highly preferred. A Professional Engineer License and valid NYS Driver's License are preferred. OSHA-30 Certification Knowledge of PC applications. Excellent written and verbal skills. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineer is highly preferred. L. J. Gonzer Associates is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
