Description: Provide field support during construction of capital projects. Assist with field inspections to evaluate the quality of work performed, quality of materials used, and compliance with plans/specifications/codes/estimates. Assist in evaluating change order proposals. Review contractor submittals. Prepare daily reports. General office administration, including report production, collation, and deliveries will also be expected. Review construction documents and advise the Construction Manager of potential issues. Coordinate/document the work and progress of construction project.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration OR four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and 5 years of experience Two or more years of experience in project management commensurate with the level of education, with one year having served in a supervisory capacity or one year as a project manager for a large and/or complex project. OSHA-30 Knowledge of capital construction procedures including flagging and General Orders, field safety, and safe work planning.Knowledge of mass-transit facilities.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Prior knowledge of boiler operations, installation, or maintenance preferred.Experience in reading, reviewing, and interpreting contract drawings and specifications.Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills; identify issues and take initiative to effectively resolve them.
