Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for the management and supervisory oversight of assigned staff, their performance, and the quality of engineering work in connection with ascertaining the physical condition and material properties of existing infrastructure. Assignments will focus on various rail/transit right-of-way structures, stations, and facilities within the planned limits of capital repair, renewal, and/or replacement projects. Multiple assignments may progress simultaneously. The selected candidate will be responsible for scheduling the work with contractor(s), and coordinating the work with rail/transit operations. Results of the probing and coring assignments will be made available to various in-house and/or consultant design teams for use in developing the design of capital projects.
Requirements: Baccalaureate Degree in Civil Engineering At least 10 years of related practical experience in the field of Civil/Structural Engineering At least 2 of the 10 years in a managerial/supervisory capacity; A valid New York State Professional Engineer's license is required Must have ability to telecommute if requested.
