Electrical Engineer/Project Manager

Description: Under managerial direction, the selected candidate(s) will be responsible for the master plan, survey, design, inspection, construction support, catalog cuts & shop drawing review and documentation of all electrical, I&C & communication equipment installations. Prepare contract drawings, specifications and bid package including design build (DB) & design bid build (DBB), for various capital projects with the following chief responsibilities: a. Prepare SOW for task order to hire design consultant for deign build (DB) and design bid build (DBB). b. Review 30%, 60%, 90%, 100% design documents for all DB & DBB projects. c. Review bid package for all DB & DBB projects. d. Attend pre bid walkthrough, prepare addendum to response RFI before award. e. Review catalog cuts, shop drawings, response RFI, attend field meeting, testing &commissioning after award as construction support. f. Review as-built drawings & O&M manual.
Requirements: -A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering -2 years of experience serving in a supervisory capacity on construction projects -OSHA-30 certification-8 hour Lead Awareness Course -Knowledge of electrical design and construction support projects including I&C with related codes and standards. -Experience in design of various types of power distribution systems. -Experience in preparing project scope of work, developing contract drawings and specifications with minimum supervision. -Knowledge of PC applications, Strong knowledge of Microstation or CADD, Excellent verbal& written communication skills, working knowledge of Asite project management software. -The ability to write clearly, organize and analyze project information, prepare reports, presentations and interact/communicate with consultants and various departments. -Knowledge and/or experience with project management procedures and guidelines. -Knowledge of review design documents with preparing bid package of all design-bid-build (DBB) and design-build (DB) project delivery and associated contract document preparation. -Knowledge and/or experience with mass-transit facilities preferable. -The ability to coordinate with a multitude of users such as operations and engineering personnel.
