Description: L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Safety and Risk Manager.*Proactively develop, plan, direct and implement safety program to ensure a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment *Delivers and provides oversight safety program including the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures under the guidance of the Safety Director and Senior Management *Develops and implements project-specific safety policies and procedures *Enforces compliance with all applicable Federal, State, County, and Local safety related regulations *Directs safety training program to all levels of staff, as required, by Federal and State safety regulations to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses and exposure to long-term health hazards *Supports the on-site construction compliance managers in ensuring each construction project is conducting operations in a safe manner for the protection of employees, contractors, subcontractors, and the general public *Coordinates with project management so that necessary protective equipment and safety materials are available; adequate first aid materials are available; and safety documents are posted on-site
Requirements: *Bachelor's Degree in safety management, engineering, environmental or occupational safety, industrial hygiene, chemical, physical or biological sciences, ergonomics, architecture, construction, construction safety, etc. *Minimum 6 years related experience *Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements *Experience with construction safety contractor management programs or providing oversight for 3rd party services/contractors *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills *Proficient computer skills (i.e.: Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) *Strong business administrative skills (i.e.: presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc. *OSHA 30 certification in Construction Safety L.
