Description: L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as an Assistant Electrical Engineer. You will assist the Lead Engineer with Electrical related design and construction support tasks for upgrade projects in the Boroughs of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. *Perform detailed field surveys, to understand existing conditions *Prepare detailed field survey reports *Generate and modify design and other contract related drawings, utilizing CADD (e.g. Bentley MicroStation, etc.) *Generate design and other contract related documents utilizing the Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, etc.) and services (Office 365, etc.) *Review and mark-up construction submittals *Assist with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) and GUI (Graphical User Interfaces) configuration and programing *Assist with design industrial control panels in compliance with UL508A *Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements: *Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering *1 year full-time satisfactory full-time work in communications or electrical engineering *OSHA 30 and 8 hour lead awareness courses *Knowledge of various electrical, control systems and equipment *Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint *Ability to set priorities and ensure timely completion of assignments. *Familiarity with designing and programming microprocessor-based control systems Programmable Logic Controller (“PLC”) systems, User Interfaces such as HMI (Human Machine Interfaces), GUI (Graphical User Interfaces), etc. *Proficiency with Computer-aided Design and Drafting (“CADD") L.
