Description: L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Database Administrator.*Installing, upgrading, and patching Oracle Database software in an IBM AIX environment with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Enterprise Manager, and GoldenGate. *Creating Oracle databases. *Developing and testing a backup and recovery strategy, backing up Oracle databases regularly, and recovering them in case of failures. *Configuring the network environment to enable clients to connect to databases. *Starting up and shutting down the database. *Managing storage for the database. *Managing users and security.
Requirements: 

• 7 years of experience troubleshooting Oracle 10g or higher database performance and other related issues; specifically by working with other teams to identify if the issue is at the storage, network, database, or application tier.
• 7 years of experience working with developers to suggest modifications which could improve the performance of their SQL (e.g., avoiding cartesian products, suggesting indexes, etc).
• 7 years of experience using RMAN for backup and recovery of Oracle 10g or higher databases. Experience must include using RMAN for recovery.
• 7 years of experience upgrading Oracle Database software, version 10g or higher, in a Unix-like environment (e.g. AIX, Linux, etc).Experience must include upgrading an entire RAC cluster with DataGuard. 7.5 10
• 7 years of experience patching Oracle Database software ,version 10g or higher, in a Unix-like environment (e.g. AIX, Linux, etc). Experience must include patching an entire RAC cluster with DataGuard. 7.5 10
• 7 years of experience installing Oracle Database software, version 10g or higher, in a Unix-like environment (AIX, Linux, etc) , for a RAC cluster with DataGuard.
• 4 years of experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, version 13 or higher.
• 3 years of experience with Oracle 10g or higher with an application tier which uses IBM Cúram architecture (direct experience with Cúram itself not necessary).
• Oracle 10g or higher Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
