Description: L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Project Manager. You'll be responsible for managing priority projects for the Division of Retirement Services for our client based in Albany, NY. The Project Manager will be assigned to manage multiple projects based on approved project workload. Daily activities will include but not be limited to:*Managing multiple, concurrent application development projects, change requests and operational initiatives *Guiding teams comprised of cross-functional, vendor and/or other state agency staff as necessary for completion of project tasks *Developing comprehensive project plans, managing project tasks, communicating project updates, and providing required status reports *Mitigating and escalating issues, including Executive level escalation *Managing project scope, deliverables, and other customer expectations *Functioning as a meeting facilitator to clarify business and technical requirements which may cross project team boundaries *Producing project documentation and deliverables using Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Requirements: *3 years of experience collecting project requirements for review and distribution to various stakeholders, including executive leadership *3 years of experience in managing application development (SDLC) or other information technology projects *3 years of experience developing and maintaining project artifacts (i.e., scope, charter, budget, schedule, RAID log, work breakdown structure, and communication plan) using Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint *3 years of experience in meeting facilitation and written communication in support of knowledge transfer L.
