Description: L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified individuals for potential assignment as an Assistant Civil Engineer. *Perform and conduct field surveys and prepare field survey reports *Monitor construction field work by contractors ensuring compliance with contract drawings and specification and approve shop drawings *Utilize web-based document management protocols to maintain all project submittals and correspondences *Review and mark-up construction submittals *Perform the following tasks, including, but not limited to:*site inspections *ascend and descend ladders and stairs *work on elevated platforms and scaffolds *stand for extended periods *work outdoors in all weather conditions , in subway tunnels and stations environments, etc. *Under supervision of the Project Manager, participate in preparing and reviewing payments, AWOs, daily reports
Requirements: *A Bachelor's OR Master's Degree in Civil Engineering *1 year of full-time satisfactory experience *OSHA 30 Certification and 8-hour Lead *Proficiency with AutoCad/Microstation and ProjectWise *Demonstrated knowledge of Civil/Structural Engineering standards/codes and practice *Ability to coordinate multiple tasks between stakeholders which includes contractors operations, other departments and engineering personnel *Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing *Skilled with Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) *Ability to prioritize and ensure timely completion of assignments L.
